**When stacked with a product containing whey protein isolate (WPI) in a randomized, double-blind, cross-over clinical trial that included 20 recreationally trained, healthy male subjects, those taking 10 grams WPI and 10 grams leucine immediately post-workout showed significant increases in plasma insulin concentration.
Those taking the WPI and leucine blend showed 4 times more insulin 30 minutes post-workout compared to a placebo.
^In an 8-week study of healthy males performing resistance training, subjects taking this products module of 20g whey protein and 6.2g leucine demonstrated an increased improvement in muscle strength and muscle size as compared to those performing the same training regimen on a placebo.
†In a randomized, double-blind, cross-over study of 16 healthy male volunteers, subjects experienced significantly higher maximum concentrations of Total Amino Acids, Branched Chain Amino Acids and Leucine 1 hour post-ingestion of the protein blend in this product relative to amino acid concentrations measured post-ingestion of whey protein concentrate.
Significant differences for the Rate of Change of BCAA and Leucine absorption were also observed relative to the control group.
