Kiha 71 series (Yufuin no Mori) is a highland resort train which appeared as a limited express linking Hakata - Yufuin - Beppu in 1989.
While Kiha 65 and Kiha 58 are remodeled seed cars, the leading portion is a non-penetrating and characteristic round shape, making it a large curved window with good viewing nature.
Four years have passed since the appearance in one year, interior decoration and renewal of the engine were done in 2003.
