In this formulation the iron is enhanced with vitamin C, calcium and a unique base of rose hips, chickweed herb, mullein leaves, thyme herb and yellow dock root. Each tablet contains: Amount % DV Iron (ferrous gluconate) 25 mg 123 Vitamin C 50 mg 83 Calcium (di-calcium phosphate) 64 mg 6.4 Iron is used by the body in making myoglobin (supplying oxygen for muscle contractions) and hemoglobin, the central molecule of red blood cells, which travel to the lungs to pick up oxygen and deliver it to the tissues.
