Technical Features
High precision sound technologies come together in the MDR-1ABT to ensure an accurate, authentic performance, no matter the genre. Dynamic 40mm drivers respond quickly to precisely reproduce vocals and mid-high range notes, while large vents help deliver punchy, rhythmic bass. An aluminium-coated Liquid Coated Polymer diaphragm gives more authentic sound quality across the entire frequency range. Inside the driver, two high-energy neodymium magnets vibrate to produce sound. These magnets have enhanced impedance to deliver a high quality performance. The MDR-1ABT even features DSEE HX, upscaling compressed digital music, restoring highs and lows lost in compression, producing rich sound closer to HD quality
Design
The enfolding design with ergonomic 3D earpads seals music in and keeps sound distractions out. Acoustics are reflected back towards ears for the subtlest of sounds. Ther MDR-1ABT look as good as they feel, with a sleek metal headband that perfectly complements plush, leather earpads. Soft leather earpads rise and shape around ears for a snug, comfortable fit. With smoother materials and seamless stitching, comfort and durability is exceptional. This set of headphones even have swivelling earcups for easy storage and portability.
Other Functions
The MDR-1ABT offers the highest quality Bluetooth streaming. Featuring LDAC, the MDR-1ABT supports three times greater bitrate than typical Bluetooth streaming, allowing High-Resolution Audio to be transmitted wirelessly. With a touch sensor control, music can be controlled via the earpads, answering or ending calls can also be done.
