This treatment with either restore color or create a long-lasting stain on human-colored hair. Lakme products are amazing at color restoration and retention. As with any products that deposit color, you need to keep in mind exactly what color this is. It's not going to adapt to what's on your head. It'll take over and you'll be able to see the tone even if you have black hair. This is a violet-based fuchsia. It's not purple and it's not pink. The color is very vivid and absolutely stunning, but it is not what you're looking for if you want to create or maintain pastels. If you have grape Kool Aid colored hair, it'll make it shine more pink in the sun. If you've ever used Lakme's copper shampoo or color treatment, you know exactly what I mean. The treatments are wonderfully conditioning, which is especially helpful if you're doing bright colors over peroxide-treated hair. The treatment will last a very long time if you use Lakme shampoo, but it'll also survive several washes with regular shampoo. As an example, I used this on highlighted and toned blonde tips. It stained like crazy after only a minute, but I wanted some of the pieces to be a bit more faded, so I separated them and washed them with dish soap, which is awful for your hair, but excellent at removing stubborn stains. The color didn't budge. I couldn't recommend this stuff enough.
