Descriptions
The Hall of Supreme Harmony (Taihe Dian) also called 'Hall of Golden Throne', is one of the top 3 largest hall in the palace and it is the largest wooden structure in China. It is located at its central axis, behind the Gate of Supreme Harmony. It was originally built in 1420 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and named Feng Tian Dian. Later the name was changed to Huang Ji Dian in 1562 during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). And then the name of the Hall was changed to the current one by the Shunzhi Emperor of Qing Dynasty.
