The Toastmaster Rechargeable Cookie Press TMCKM2S comes in its own plastic storage drawer, which pulls out of its case when you are ready to use it. This unit consists of a slim power base (similar to an immersion blender), clear plastic dough tube, removable power cord, 12 cookie discs, 8 decorator tips, 1 long injector tip (for filling pastries), and 2 cannoli forms. The stainless-steel discs have holiday and everyday patterns and are easy to insert in the base of the dough tube. After initially charging the power shaft, you can remove the plug for cordless operation. To use, simply choose your insert, fill the dough tube, and attach the power shaft. Pressing a button on the easy-grip handle starts the press. As you press and hold the button, an internal crank shaft winds a circular plate down to press the dough toward the opening at the far end of the tube. By pressing the base of the tube to a cookie sheet and pulling up you can achieve beautiful pressed cookies quickly and effortlessly. Releasing the button stops the motor. The slim tube holds 1 cup of dough and can be easily refilled by unscrewing the power shaft. The cordless motor can go a long way on a single charge; however, you must use a dough soft enough for pressing--such as butter cookie dough or a whipped cream batter for piping. Stiffer doughs will clog the motor. One charge gets you through about 15 tubes of dough.
