N-ACETYL-L-CYSTEINE (NAC) contains 500 mg of the highest-quality (USP grade) n-acetyl-l-cysteine in a preservative-free gelatin capsule. NAC is a powerful free radical scavenger. Orally-ingested NAC rapidly undergoes deacetylation to form L-cysteine. L-cysteine is necessary for glutathione production.
