After returning that disaster under the protection plan, I chose the Nabi as a replacement. It is a much better tablet. The quality of the construction is much better, and I love the parenting safeguards. My only complaint is with the amount of available memory. The pre-installed software takes up a large amount of memory, and most of those apps cannot be removed. The tablet does have expandable memory (up to 32GB). But even after a micro SD card is installed, the Android software does not allow you to move apps to the SD card. If Nabi would fix the memory issue, this tablet would easily gain 5 stars, in my opinion.Was this review helpful?Yes (36)No (1)ReportMy 2 year old Loves this tablet!11/7/2013Average rating:4out of5stars, based onreviews11/7/2013by HooverMommy1I was reading the other review stating that you cannot download other apps from different stores other than what is preloaded onto the nabi tablet is not true...You can download the Amazon app store basically the same thing as google play. You can do this in the "Mommy Mode" through the internet explorer. There you can down load lots of free apps plus paid ones also or use the nabi app store. But you do have other options. I had to download the amazon app store to get the free netflix app. Which my son Loves! This tablet keeps him entertained and he caught on very quickly. I also found out that if you download a program onto your computer called "handbrake." You can transferr DVD's you already purchased from dvd to your computer onto the nabi tablet. Then the moives you already own are right on the tablet and can be played at anytime! very useful for roadtrips! I would recommend getting a Micro SD card for more storage if this is of interest to you. right now i have 2 movies on the tablet with out the SD card. I love this tablet for my son because it serves as a movie player gaming system with games that your child can learn from! You can let him have the tablet with out worrying hes going to buy something or download a bunch of stuff with out your permission! Also great for the parents in mommy mode. where you have full access to everything, Internet, email, social networking sites. and more! I could go onnnn and onnn lol :) So honestly the only thing I found wrong with this tablet is the battery life isnt the greatest. If your worried the screen may break id spend the extra money and get the nabi 2 Armor Shield.
