Flixonase (Flonase) is a once daily non-drowsy nasal spray that prevents and relieves the symptoms of hayfever.

Flixonase is for short term (3-6 months) prevention and treatment of airborne allergies including hayfever. The tiny amounts sprayed into your nose treats the inflamed tissue and helps to reduce the swelling and irritation.

Flixonase protects from all major allergens including:

• pollen and grasses
• dust mites
• pet hair
• mould spores

Flixonase also provides effective relief from:

• sneezing
• itchy nose
• runny nose
• nasal congestion
• sinus pain and congestion
• irritated eyes

Flixonase Directions: Shake gently before use. Adults and children over 12 years of age: TWO sprays into each nostril ONCE a day in the morning. To be most effective Flixonase must be used every day even if your symptoms have been reduced.

Flixonase Ingredients: Each spray contains:

• Fluticasone Propionate - 50mcg
• dextrose (anhydrous), microcrystalline cellulose, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, phenylethyl alcohol, benzalkonium chloride, polysorbate 80, dilute hydrochloric acid and purified water

Flixonase Precautions: Keep Flixonase out of reach of children. Do NOT use Flixonase if you have a known allergy to any of the ingredients listed. Do NOT exceed the recommended dose. Discard Flixonase bottle three months after first use. Do NOT use Flixonase for more than six months without advice from a healthcare professional.

Seek medical advice BEFORE using Flixonase if you:

• Are already taking another steroid product
• Have an infection in the nasal passages or sinuses
• Have recently had an injury, surgery or problems with ulceration in your nose

Seek medical attention DURING use of Flixonase if you:

• Develop signs or symptoms of infection, such as:
  • fever, nasal or facial pain
  • discoloured nasal discharge or bleeding from the nose
  • acute eye pain or visual disturbance
• Experience side effects including:
  • Sneezing
  • Irritation or dryness in the nose or throat
  • Bad taste or smell
  • Skin rash/lumpy rash (hives)
  • Swelling of the face, tongue, lips or mouth
  • Fainting
  • Wheezing, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing
  • Breakdown of tissue inside the nose (nasal septal perforation)
• Do not experience relief from your nasal symptoms after seven days
