Agate is a very commonly used stone that ranges in colors can range from white/grey, blue, yellow/red or even black. They are metamorphic rock that is produced through volcanoes. This volcanic activity can be seen in the layers that are common in agate. It was very abundantly used in ancient times. It is found at many archaeological sites when it was used for hardstone carving.

These slices of agate are polished on both sides to show the real beauty of agate. The bright colors and smooth surfaces make for a great piece of stone for art, learning or decoration. Each set of 12 slices comes in a protective velvet bag with a Zentron information sheet.

Each agate slice in this lot is hand picked for top quality and beauty. These have small holes in the top of the stone for us in jewelry such as necklaces and bracelets. Each stone lot will have a slightly different appearance due to the uniqueness of the rock from which it is cut.
