From skinning into a backcountry hut to steep and deep days, the Osprey Kamber 42 Backpack is the perfect bag for all your backcountry essentials and then some. Made from durable fabric and featuring easy to use ski and snowboard carry straps, this pack carries all your gear and is capable of taking some serious abuse in the backcountry. The main compartment separates your wet gear from dry gear, and it is accessed from either the top or back panel (even with your skis or board attached). A J-zipper with an extra-large opening gives you quick access to avalanche safety gear. A LightWire peripheral frame provides natural torsional movement for comfort whether you are hiking up or skiing down. Padded shoulder straps adjust to sit comfortably against your shoulders, while the padded hipbelt allows you to carry your load with ease.
The Kamber 42 includes a number of features to enhance your backcountry experience. The top pocket is removable for shorter excursions and includes a goggle pocket and helmet carry. An under-lid rope carry system and zippered pocket keeps mountaineering gear secure and organized. Attached loops allow you to easily attach ice tools and can be tucked away when not in use. Dual upper and lower side compression straps keep your loads secure as you move.
