This Cabernet Sauvignon is bright ruby in appearance. The aromas are bright, displaying vibrant red rose and mixed wild berry tones. Some dusty, bare-earth notes are discreetly hidden under star anise, Crèam brûlée, red liquorish, and vanillin oak.
The palate is precise, layered and long. Tannins are chamois-like combining with flavours of tomato leaf, cassis and raspberry. Toasty, creamy oak flavours play a subtle roll in ensuring the wine is well balanced. A Cabernet Sauvignon which is very “light on its feet” (claret style) that will effortlessly cellar for 20 years from vintage.
