A1: Generally speaking, it's the data storage center which link to all your network terminals, eg laptops, tablets, smart phones, TVs etc.

Left one is the sample hardware enclousure. It just sits in one corner, quitely serving for you.

It can automatically hibernate if no need to active it.

Q2: What can I do it with it?

A2: There many application with the private cloud, here are some examples.
