Review 2: NUXE – Huile Prodigieuse GOLD

P1170697

Have you ever tried or heard about Huile Proidigieuse which is sold every 6 seconds worldwide?! I’ve shared about the awesome NUXE Huile Prodigieus which I love so much previously!! It is definitely my must-have and recommended product!

P1170706 P1170701 P1170702

P1170894

This time round, I am sharing Huile Prodigieuse OR which is also a multi-purpose dry oil for face, body and hair! The difference is that Huile Prodigieuse OR has illuminating effect with pearly particles for subtle golden glitter! <3 It also nourishes, repairs and softens the skin and hair!

P1170891

Check out the golden glitter on my hand!!!!!!!

P1170896

Left with and right without! Left side looks shiny and healthy! <3 I think it’ll look better on tanned healthy skin like mine!! You should apply and massage Huile Prodigieuse OR in circular movements on target areas! :)

P1170897

Other than applying on your legs, you can also apply Huile Prodigieuse OR on your hair and face! Apply Huile Prodigieuse OR onto the face working from the center of facial contours. I applied it before my makeup m and my skin feels softer, moisturized and more supple!! Not to worry that the glitter looks too shiny on your face! Healthy glow for the win!! :D

P1170961

Also, I applied Huile Prodigiuse OR on the ends to nourish my dry hair!!!!!! You can see that on the left side of hair on the photo without NUXE looks dry and crazy. Right side of hair with NUXE looks more tamed and straight!

Nuxe Rêve de Miel Full review

When the products from this collection arrived, I knew that they'd be perfect for our Winter Series. NUXE is a brand that we've already featured, and subsequently fell in love with (more on that in future posts!). I'm always a sucker for French brands like these, as they, well, work.

The Rêve de Miel collection has been around for a while now, but had been reformulated this year, along with the addition of three new products to the line-up. The core concept of the range is to fulfill the needs of dry and sensitive skin from head to toe with the use of acacia honey, sunflower and plant oils. As if that wasn't impressive enough, the products also contain argan oil, shea butter and barley extract.
You'd think that ingredients like this would equate to extortionate prices, but, for once, this is not the case. I was genuinely surprised when I glanced through the price list for this range. Read on to see what my first impressions of the range are.

I've been trialling a few different hand creams recently and they've all been lovely. However, even based on first impressions alone, I think that this Hand and Nail Cream could blow them all out of the water. It's just, well, gorgeous. It's superbly creamy and sinks into the skin well. The scent isn't unlike other NUXE products, except maybe a little more honey-ish. Absolutely gorgeous, and well worth.

We're both always quite hesitant to rave about products, but again, even just my first impression of the Ultra Comfortable Body Cream is that it is phenomenal. It's basically a light lotion, which really packs a punch considering its texture - my skin isn't dry, but I imagine that this would leave even very dry skin feeling comfortably hydrated all day, hence the name.
Having applied this to my forearms an hour ago, they already feel lovely and soft. Gorgeous - and, again, I would have no problem repurchasing the product.

If you're a bit strapped for cash but still want to bag yourself a bit of luxury from this range, then grab the Lip Moisturising Stick. I slapped this on my kisser when I got home today, and have been reapplying like a maniac ever since. It has the same delicious scent as the rest of the products, and seems to be a pretty decent and addictive balm that will shield your lips from the biting cold this winter.

I'm fully aware that I am waxing lyrical about these products at this stage, but I honestly can't help it! The Face Cleansing and Make-Up Removing Gel really intrigued me, as I'm always pretty sceptical of products that claim to remove all of your slap in one go.
Well, consider me converted, as I just used this about an hour ago to take off a full face of make-up, including a smokey eye and Inglot gel liner. It's all gone. Need I say more? I'm super impressed with the price - a very fair price, if you ask me.

Finally, the day moisturiser from this range is designed for dry and sensitive skin. As this isn't my skin type, I can't comment fully on this but I know that Sinéad will love this, so, keep your eyes peeled for a review in the future.

Nuxe Rêve de Miel Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm Jar and Lip Moisturising Stick

I don't think Nuxe Reve De Miel lip balms need much of an introduction, considering that it is one of those products that is highly praised by the beauty community. Generally, people tend to rave about how moisturising the Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm.
My lips are on the drier side, with visible lines when they're at their worst. My favourite lip care product is Y.S.L's Top Secrets Re-Plumping Concentrate Lip & Contour Shaper because it makes my lips plump and smooth. It's become one of those essential products which I can't see myself doing without. But the shaper costs an arm and leg (we're talking $64AU)! So I'm definitely on the hunt for alternatives that will hydrate and plump my lips.

The Ultra-Nourishing Lip Balm is one of Nuxe's best sellers and has at least 78% natural ingredients. Honey, beeswax, sunflower, musk rose, almond oil, shea butter and grapefruit essence is included so that dry and chapped lips can be nourished, repaired, soothed and protected. There's also no parabens or petroleum in this mixture.
I love the look and feel of the jar! 15ml of product (the size of an average eye cream) is housed in a frosted jar and actually looks quite pretty on my dressing or night table!

The balm's texture is actually very much like a paste. It's thick and has gritty particles which is apparently crystallised honey. Once on the lips, the particles can range from invisible to slightly visible if you come up close. I've noticed that this usually happens when the balm has hardened over in the cold weather. It does go away with time but I have a feeling that it's because I've ingested it! Perhaps the answer is to warm up the paste but the more I rub the balm into lips, the more I feel like I'm going through the motions with a lip exfoliator.

Most of the time, this lip balm does make my lips feel hydrated for a good few hours. In warmer weather, this balm is soft, buttery and very easy to apply. My lips feel soft and look plump. My lips do look like they've got a decent amount of moisture in them! I am extremely impressed with this balm!

When it's cold, the paste freezes over and is harder to work with. The particles become obvious like tiny biscuit crumbs. If I don't roll it enough on my lips enough to heat it up, my lips end up looking drier than they really are and the whole area looks parched and stretched.

I like to apply this as part of my daily make up routine. But it works great as an overnight treatment too. In comparison to Vaseline, this one works much better! My lips turn a healthy pink in the morning and forms a great base for the day's lipgloss. I don't use this often overnight because I sleep on my belly and I don't like it smearing onto my pillowcase! Ahah =)

I'm enjoying this lip balm. I love it when it's a soft, creamy paste because it does make my lips look very soft and hydrated. I just wish they'd get rid of the grains! I can deal with the hardened-over paste but the gritty texture is a big no-no for me.

There's printing within the box and I found a code as well. Not sure what it means - Google isn't bring up much in English but I've got a strong feeling that it's some discount code.
Anyone have any clues? The code is blurred out in case it is a shopping code! AHAH!

I'll reach for my Lip Moisturising Stick when the Balm is starting to wear off during the day. It's supposed to be the more portable version of the Balm but, for me, they're two different creatures. I actually used this before the jar and really liked the formula. It applies smoothly and does not leaving the lips feeling sticky or glossy. Once again, this is better when it's warmed up and softer, as it glides on even more smoothly.
At first, despite having to reapply it often, I liked using it because it smells very, very nice. The scent is slightly more citrusy/lemony and I caught myself popping the cap off just to sniff it! But when compared to the jar version, it's honestly not as nourishing.
This stays in my handbag and is used in conjunction with the jar. With the Balm as the base, this Stick helps to just lengthen the amount of moisture that's already there.

Nuxe Rêve de Miel Hand cream

Now I have a confession to make. I hate handcream. Always have and honestly thought I always would. I hate the feeling of greasy hands where pens slip out of your grip and I never feel a need to pop some on. However, a few weeks ago this all changed. I don’t know whether it’s the cold and wet weather we have been experiencing but I have felt recently that my hands are dryer then normal and are in need of a bit of added moisture.
I tried them both out and the Nuxe handcream felt more lightweight and didn’t leave a greasy finish on my hands.

Since buying this I think I have become addicted! I have been carrying around this hand cream in my handbag and applying it a good 3-4 times a day! I love the feeling it leaves on my hands and there is no nasty handcream after feeling. What’s great about this handcream is that it contains avacado and sweet almond oils to nourish and protect the skin. As they say you can always tell a woman’s age by their hands so keeping them in tip-top condition is important! I’ve also found that since using this handcream my nails are having a growth spurt! I don’t know whether it’s because I am taking better care of my hands and nails or whether it is due to the handcream itself but they feel stronger and can’t seem to stop growing!

I am a complete handcream convert and am in love with product. What do you think about handcreams? Do you like using them and is there a favourite you use?

Nuxe Rêve de Miel Ultra-Comforting cream

After trying my first NUXE products in a giftset before Christmas (review), I am now a massive fan of the French Pharmacy brand. Their Rêve de Miel lipbalm is beyond amazing, and deserves all of the hype it receives. For the last few weeks I’ve introduced a brand new moisturiser into my skincare regime from NUXE; the NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream

The NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream is described as a fondant cream which works to replenish lipids (Sunflower Oil Derivative, Safflower Ceramides and Precious Oils), to soothe (Barley, Argan Oil and Shea Butter), repair (Honey) and protect the skin from environmental assaults (Vitamin E and Sunflower Derivative). It claims to leave the skin feeling intensely nourished and regains lasting comfort.. with any feelings of irritation and tightness are relieves while the look of redness and roughness is diminished. This face cream is suitable all year round for those with dry and sensitive skin, and during extreme weather conditions for those with normal skin. It contains 91% ingredients of a natural origins, is paraben free as well as being non comedogenic (doesn’t produce nor aggravate acne).

Tests carried out by NUXE on 21 volunteers over 28 days found…
91% felt that their skin had been intensely nourished.
86% felt that its comfort had been restored.
91% said that any sensations of discomfort and tightness had been reduced.

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream
NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream

The NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream is contained within a really weighty 50ml glass jar which wouldn’t be particularly travel friendly, although you could decant some into a more lightweight container for travel. The cream smells heavenly, it’s the nicest scented moisturiser I’ve used.. although don’t worry the scent disappears after around twenty minutes. The fondant description is so apt, as the cream has such a thick consistency within the jar but smooths across the skin with ease. A little goes a really long way, with one touch of my fingertip on the cream being enough for my cheek chin and nose.

The cream feels instantly soothing on the skin, which is so comforting.. especially on more dry or sensitive area. After applying the face cream, I don’t experience any burning or stinging whatsoever which I love as I always feel my dry patches sting with other moisturisers I’ve tried. Once applied, my skin feels as if I’ve applied a nourishing facial oil.. in that it feels smooth and intensely nourished. Whenever I use the NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream I find that I don’t even need to apply a primer as the cream works as such an amazing base for my makeup. After I’ve applied the cream all over my face, I like to let it sink in for around 10 minutes before proceeding and applying my makeup.

NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream
NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream

My foundation applies so much more smoothly when applied over the face cream, as it feels as if it leaves a layer of moisture onto the skin, so my brush just glides across my skin. Plus my dry patches are also covered with a moisturising layer which makes them a lot less noticeable which makes me very, very happy. Even though this moisturiser is marketed as a day cream, I prefer to use it both morning and night as it’s just so intensely nourishing that no other moisturiser or night cream comes close to the hydration I get from this NUXE cream. It leaves my skin instantly nourished and packed with hydration all day long, it’s just amazing. Normally my skin tends to start feeling dehydrated by midday, but never with the Ultra Comfortable Face Cream.

I suffered with dry patches on each of my cheeks and my forehead, however the patches on my cheeks have drastically improved and shrunk which again makes me ecstatically happy as it’s my biggest skin concern. My foundation looks so much smoother thanks to this cream, as my skins surface is a lot smoother and I’ve even noticed that my pores on my cheeks are a lot less noticeable too.. however NUXE make no claim or mention of this being something it does?! But trust me.. it really, really has minimised my pores.

I have never found a moisturiser as nourishing as the NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream. Its effects can be felt from the very first application, and I completely agree with all of NUXE’s claims.. it even soothes and helps my acne scarring heal too. I just cannot stress enough that if you have dry skin like myself, or experience the dreaded tight sensation or soreness with other moisturisers.. you must try this face cream. I’ve been raving about it to anyone who’ll listen, as it’s just made such a difference. I don’t even need to apply an eye cream as this cream doubles up as intensely nourishing eye cream too. The NUXE Rêve de Miel Ultra Comfortable Face Cream is better than any face cream, moisturiser, serum or mask I’ve ever tried at relieving and reducing my dryness. It’s FANTASTIC.

Nuxe Rêve de Miel Makeup Removing Gel

Type of product
: Mild facial-cleansing gel (soap-free)
Brand: Nuxe
Name of product: Reve de Miel, Face cleansing and make-up removing gel, with Honey and Sunflower
Rating: 10/10
Recommendation: I have repurchased. I do not use it for removal of make up, but it's a great facial cleanser. It leaves my skin feeling fresh and clean, but is also gentle and doesn't irritate. A pleasure to use it. It says that it's meant for dry and sensitive skin, but I have oily skin and I love it.

I use this product at morning and at night - I apply it to damp skin, foam it up, and then I just rinse it out. Doesn't dry up my face and doesn't make my skin feel tight. Sometimes when my skin is very oily, I apply it first to remove most of the oil, and then I apply it again and rub it in well - for a better, deeper cleaning. But, the truth is, one wash would be sufficient. If you would use this to remove heavy make up, you would have to use it a few times in a row. But I only use it as a facial cleanser. It removes all the oil and sebum and I am left with a fresh and clean face. The product is meant for dry and sensitive skin, well actually, on the brand's website it says it can be used for all skin types, but it's best for dry and sensitive skin. Well, I have non-sensitive oily skin, and I don't understand it - this product did wonders for me, so I am amazed to see that it's not at all meant for my skin type.

I remember when I first started using this product, I did not like the smell (a sweet smell of honey), but I fell in love with it, and now I enjoy the smell and find that it relaxes me. So, for me, the smell is a plus! But it's a very sweet smell, so it's something to consider if that's not your cup of tea.  After 2 months I've only used up about 1/3 of the product.

Have you tried any Nuxe products already? I've also tried their Multi-Usage Dry Oil, which is an amazing product and it's the best smelling product of my life. I'd love to hear your experiences with this brand. See you soon.

The NUXE research team has found that our first lines are caused by our daily range of expressions, which stretch the skin and make it fragile. The NUXE laboratory has developed ""Floral Neuro-Cosmetics"": - Mallow root, Blue Lotus seeds and Poppy seeds limit the impulses that cause these contractions (3 patents). - Tree Peony root protects the enkephalins, the skin's well-being molecules (1 patent). Light in texture and with mattifying Rice powder, it is perfectly tailored to meet the needs of combination skin. Immediate smoothing effect (imprint analysis). Relaxes skin: 87% of women tested agreed.

The Parisian woman recognizes how important it is to take care of her skin, even before the signs of aging begin to set in. More importantly, she knows how harmful stress can be for the skin – it alters the cells and sets the stage for future wrinkles. But sometimes keeping calm is easier said than done, so she seeks out beauty products with skin relaxing effects. Before the first signs of aging set in, she relaxes her skin with combination skin first wrinkle cream Nirvanesque, with Peony and Blue Lotus seeds for a natural relaxing effect that instantly irons out first lines.

For an added impact, she uses Nirvanesque as a mask on expression lines, leaving on for between five and 10 minutes. For that healthy, natural glow she’s famous for, nothing more is needed than a flash of mascara and a dab of lipstick, and she’s out of the door in a flash.

NUXE Essential kit review
This is the Nuxe 'The Essentials' Travel Kit. It contains five minatures of some of their best known products:
The Micellar Cleansing Water with Rose Petals (30 ml), Nuxellence Youth and Radiance Cream (15ml), their Huile Prodigieuse (10ml), Rêve de Miel Hand and Nail Cream (15ml) and finally the Body Fondant Shower Gel (30ml). I'll be honest and say it was the mini Huile Prodigieuse that swung me, I'm a complete sucker for beauty oils and this is one I've had my eye on for a while.
I really like all of these products- unsurprising really, they are cult classics for a reason I guess! I'm still loyal to my usual Avene Micellar Water but this one was beautifully scented so I'm keeping it for my travels. The Nuxellence Cream I like a lot. It seems to really brighten my complexion, which is no mean feat now work is busying up and the temperatures are dropping so maybe if I'm feeling particularly flush I may add a full bottle to my routine - at £46 a pop it is by no means affordable!
The woes of luxury skincare... The Huile Prodigieuse is absolutely wonderful for everything. Face, body, hair... It sinks in straight away and is so nourishing. This on my face before bed does wonders for dehydrated skin. Again, I think the next time I head across the channel, a bottle is going on my list.
The hand cream and the shower gel are both good products- the cream is beautifully scented and makes cuticles soft and supple, whilst the shower gel is really gentle, but neither are top priorities for me in terms of purchasing again just because they are just a nice hand cream and shower gel...

What I really like about this little set is that it covers all bases when travelling. Having proper, quality make up removal and face cream is important when going away, even just for a weekend. The Huile Prodigieuse is a great multi-purpose product that saves a ton of space, a handcream is always a nice touch when going on planes and feeling dehydrated, and I'm always happy with a nice shower gel to avoid using the harsh ones so often available in hotels. It covers all bases, with something for face, body and hair whilst letting you enjoy a taster of Nuxe. It is well worth a try, either side of the channel!
