Ridgeway's Hawk is a bird of prey in the family Accipitridae, which also includes eagles, hawks and vultures. Despite the name, this bird is a Buteo buzzard and not a true Accipter hawk. Today, its only known population resides within Los Haitises Nationlal Park of northwestern Dominican Republic. We believe that this beautiful fowl absolutely must be saved.
