Kids Swimming Class At Jurong West & Choa Chu Kang Swimming Complex
(Minimum Age Of 5 Years Old)
Benefits of swimming are endless, and your child should be taught to swim at a young age.
The number of near-drowning cases involving children has gone up in the past five years (StraitsTimes, 2016). By teaching your child to swim, it will be an essential skill for their safety.
Swimming keeps your child’s heart and lungs healthy, improves strength and flexibility, increases stamina and even improves balance and posture. Moreover, if your child knows how to swim at a young age, this will be a life-long skill.
Swimming is lots of fun for people of all ages and children especially love getting in the water and enjoying themselves.
At Isplash Swim School, our in-house swimming instructors adopt a proven system that aims to teach swimming with an effective and fun way.
Progression Chart
All our in-house swimming instructors are National Registry of Coach and SwimSafer registered instructors.
The SwimSafer programme is designed in coordination with Singapore Sports Council. It is a program recognised by Ministry Of Education (MOE) and all primary schools are required to offer a SwimSafer programme to their pupils by the end of Primary 6.
Our in-house classes are arranged based on individual learning level and is classified to THREE stages.
Beginner Stage: Water Confidence stage
Our first objective is to build students' water confidence and floating ability by participating with interactive activities.
Next, students will be learning how to swim forward and backward for a short distance.
Intermediate Stage: Stroke development skills
Students will be taught to continuously swim breastroke for at least 25 to 50 meters. Additionally, students will be tasked with drills to learn freestyle and survival backstroke.
At this stage, students will be taught on skills that will be necessary for SwimSafer stage 2 and 3 assessment.
Advance stage: Water survival and stroke proficiency
(Swimsafer Bronze, Silver and Gold Stage)
Distance swimming and advance stroke corrections will be the highlight of our advance program. Lifesaving and general skills development will also be covered in the lesson plan.
