He really enjoys "building toys" like legos, so he was really thrilled to have this motorized roller coaster. I helped him with the build (the instructions are sometime tricky to follow) and to his dismay, when he installed the last piece of rail, we noticed the cart was getting stuck in the last twist, because it is too tight, so the motorized arm can't push the cart by itself. I had to modify to try and make the twist a bit less tight but haven't been able to get it to work completely without needing to push the cart by hand so the motorized arm can then grab it and push it up. (See video)Looking at the other roller coasters from K'Nex, I have a feeling the models where the motor is on the rail itself (like the Hornet Swamp or the Inferno) would probably work better than this model. All in all I think this toy is a good idea, but the execution was a bit so-so. If you're looking at something different than legos for your kids and like the idea of a roller-coaster, I'd recommend getting another one of K'Nex roller coaster models.Written by a customer while visiting walmart.caWas this review helpful?Yes (0)No (0)ReportGreat idea, so-so execution12/31/2016Average rating:3out of5stars, based onreviews12/31/2016by BenoitMy 7 years old received the K'Nex Clockwork Roller Coaster for Christmas. He really enjoys "building toys", so he was really thrilled to have this motorized roller coaster.
