What is the Exercise Ball Base?



The exercise ball base provides stability for your exercise ball when you are sitting on it. It is commonly used as a healthier alternative to desk chair as sitting on it causes subtle movement of your muscles.


How it works?


 
If you are one of those who sits all day then sitting all day on a chair can have negative effects on our body. It requires no muscle activity at all. It's a norm. a tendency, for people to slouch and use poor posture and sitting on a chair puts your core muscles on "slack".
 
Sitting on an Exercise Ball helps counter these things.Although posture is something that you as an individual have to change, sitting properly on the exercise ball requires muscle use. Subtle contractions of the core muscles, hip and leg muscle are required to maintain good balance. This contributes to muscle tone. With pros come the cons. Prolonged periods of sitting, even on an exercise ball, can lead to poor body mechanics and posture. Hence, do not ditch your office chair entirely. Skip the "all-or-nothing" attitude and try rotating between your desk chair and exercise ball for 20-30mins at a time.
