This is not a Maclaren product, but it is designed specially for the Major Elite.
Useful storage for some shopping, to carry an extra jumper or perhaps a picnic for the park ? but not really substantial enough for anything too large or heavy. e.g medical equipment.
The Shopping Basket does not need to be removed before folding the pushchair (although may need to be emptied of it's contents).
