These fit my calf perfectly. I will say, I think they run a tad small in the toe box and heel. I wear a 7.5 and these are a bit snug but not tight enough to have purchased an 8. I also don't tend to wear really thick socks. These boots also have a textured look that reminds me of pebbled leather. All and all a good buy for me.
