They were a bit touchy at first, but broke in nicely. They are a bit on the heavy side, but worth the extra weight. Heels are just now starting to separate. I work 12 hr. shifts minimum 3 but at times 4 days a week. First two weeks were good. Working conditions led to getting them not wet but damp. They have now shrunk to the point where the steel toes grind into my feet so I've went back to wearing my old shoes until I can go back to what I used to wear. By three weeks in I began to wonder if these would outlast the laces that came in them. Turn out the laces won but not by much.
