 First of all, secure your hair into a ponytail with a hair elastic. (We've tried without the polybands, but believe us, it's much easier with than without!)

 

Next you need to push your ponytail through the hole in the middle of the hair donut until the donut covers your polyband at the base of your ponytail.

 

The next stage is a little more tricky; you need to fan out your ponytail and arrange your hair around the donut until the bun former is no longer visible in your hair.  Secure sections of your hair with bobby pins as you go. If your hair is particularly thick, try using waves grip to secure your hair instead.

 

 

The hair donut is made of super-light polyester so don't worry about it weighing heavy in your hair or giving you a headache!  It also provides an excellent base for your bun if you are going to use decorative hair pins or hair jewels to finish your look.
