HEAT DETECTOR
There are two methods for detecting fire from the presence of heat via heat detectors;
1. Fixed temperature heat detectors operate when the ambient temperature increases sufficiently to predetermined level where the heat detector will operate; or
2. A rate-of-rise heat detector operates when the ambient temperature increases over time equal to or greater than the rate of change the detector was manufactured to operate.We have waterproof types, which are suitable for use in highly humid environments such as kitchen, bathroom, and drying room.
SMOKE DETECTOR
Smoke detectors are designed to respond to a wide spectrum of fires, while low maintenance is required as they are designed to withstand the harshest conditions and eliminate build up of containments and dust. Every unit is individually tested and calibrated to ensure high reliability and prevention of false alarms.
Fire Extinguisher (Service & Maintenance)
Under the Singapore Standard, SS 578:2012, Use and Maintenance of Portable Fire Extinguishers, the owner or occupant of a premise is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of the fire extinguishers installed in the premises. This is to ensure that the fire extinguishers are in good working order. The maintenance and servicing of fire extinguishers can only be carried out by qualified and trained persons in proper workshops of a company.
Inspection
An inspection of an fire extinguisher is a “quick check” to give reasonable assurance that a fire extinguisher is available, fully charged and operable. The value of an inspection lies in the frequency, regularity, and thoroughness with which it is conducted. The frequency will vary from hourly to monthly, based on the needs of the situation. Inspections should always be conducted when extinguishers are initially placed in service and thereafter at approximately 30-day intervals.
Maintenance
Fire extinguishers should be maintained at regular intervals (at least once a year), or when specifically indicated by an inspection. Maintenance is a “thorough check” of the extinguisher. It is intended to give maximum assurance that an extinguisher will operate effectively and safely. It includes a thorough examination and any necessary repair, recharging or replacement. It will normally reveal the need for hydrostatic testing of an extinguisher.
Fire Blanket
Fire Blankets are woven from fiberglass yarn (asbestos free) and sewn to various sizes. The blanket is smooth, soft, light and can be easily wrapped around uneven surfaces. This makes it an excellent protection against heat and small fire.
Fire Blankets is an ideal fire and heat protection tool used in hotels, shipyards, hangar, factories, commercial buildings, construction sites and residential buildings.
