Finding what you like to watch on free-to-air TV is easy, with S Recommendation¹ and advanced Voice Interaction³ . Using the Smart Touch remote you can ask questions such as “Please find me an action movie” or “Anything interesting to watch?”, then select from S Recommendation’s pop-up display of personalised content options. Suggestions are based on previous viewing tastes and, over time, S Recommendation learns and evolves with your preferences, helping to ensure you can always find what you like, as well as discover new favourites.

Powered by a Quad Core processor, the F8000 Series LED¹⁵ is brimming with outstanding picture technology features. Fine, detailed images are underpinned by Clear Motion Rate, which helps minimise blur in fast-moving images, while the structure of the Ultra Clear Panel absorbs external light to minimise reflections and provide exceptional clarity. Micro Dimming Ultimate analyses every frame that's displayed and uses a sophisticated algorithm to adjust LED edge lights for contrast levels that produce brightness and clarity in virtually every detail.

Smart Hub: Your entertainment gateway

The multiple panels of Smart Hub⁶ make it easy to search and find great content on your Samsung Smart TV. The On TV panel presents upcoming and live TV shows, as well as free-to-air program suggestions the S Recommendation¹ system has learned based your viewing history. The Apps panel provides catch-up TV, Foxtel¹⁴ on Internet TV and other great entertainment options; the Social panel is where you can make video calls via Skype^®12 , as well as message and share videos with Facebook friends; and for accessing all the entertainment files you’ve collected via AllShare⁸ , the Photos, Videos and Music panel is the place to go¹⁷. 

With Voice and Motion Control, you’re in command

Smart Interaction² lets you control and search your TV for content using Voice Control³ , and control the TV using hand gestures with Motion Control⁵ . Just speak into the remote to change channels or volume levels, or use the built-in camera’s ability to recognise a range of hand movements. Use two hands to zoom and rotate a photo on screen, or make a thumbs-up to ‘like’ things on social media. You can also log into your personalised Smart Hub⁶ panels with Facial Recognition⁴, navigate your options with a flipping motion, then use a simple grabbing motion to select the apps and other content you want.

Incredible from virtually any angle

 The picture on the Samsung F8000 LED¹⁵ TV seems to defy the confines of its frame, with a virtually invisible bezel, completely immersing you in what you're watching. The elegant, silver 'Arc' of the F8000's stand eliminates the central plinth of our traditional design, making the screen appear as if it's just floating in front of you. Such sweeping, gorgeous lines are unbroken even by the retractable built-in camera, which pops up when required and merges seamlessly back into the TV when you're done.

AllShare streams favourite content to your TV… and beyond!

A way to share content without wires, AllShare⁸ lets you stream movies, photos, music and other files from compatible devices to your Samsung Smart TV, even when you're away from home. Share within the home over Wi-Fi or use Samsung Cloud storage, which grants you the freedom to roam yet still have access to all your favourite content, wherever a Wi-Fi or 3G network is available. You can also use AllShare Mirroring⁹ to stream content – like a video or game, music clip or photos – from compatible mobile devices up onto the big screen for everyone to enjoy¹⁷ . Your Samsung Smart TV can connect to a wide range of media devices. Videos, photos and movies on hard drives thumb drives are handled by USB¹¹ ports. SoundShare¹⁶ can wirelessly transfer soundtracks from the TV’s speakers to a Samsung Soundbar, while HDMI¹⁰ inputs accept video up to Full HD standard from digital sources. And with Wireless LAN built-in, your TV becomes the centre of your networked entertainment, allowing you to play favourite media from compatible devices to the TV. 

3D thriller

Immerse yourself in the third dimension of entertainment with 3D on Samsung Smart TV. Active shutter technology uses glasses that sync themselves to the TV and allow you to enjoy an exceptional image in the third dimension, while this Samsung 3D TV can do the miraculous, using the clever 3D Converter feature to turn regular 2D content into 3D. So even if you don’t have a huge collection of 3D media, you can still enjoy pictures that jump right out of the screen. (To watch in 3D requires 3D glasses.
