Product Description
8-Piece Set Photography Sand Bags w/ Clips (4 Bags, 4 Clips)

No more tipped over tripods or wobbly light stands with our convenient 4-pack of photography sandbags AND 4 clamps too. You can fill these bags with the weight filling of your choice and then easily use our heavy duty clamps to attach them on the bars of light stands, camera tripods, backdrops, diffuser umbrella stands, etc. Also used as accessories for inflatables flags.

DIMENSIONS: Each flap 9.5" wide x 9" long. Middle section: 2" wide x 10" long. Double Zipper: Inner zipper 7", outer zipper 7.5". Unfilled bag weight 6 oz. Clamps: weight 1.1 oz each. 4.5" x 3.5". Jaws stretch 1.5" wide. Steel spring inner w/ heavy duty molded plastic outer.

Instructions for Filling:

FILLING IDEAS: sand, beans, lentils, rice, kitty litter, aquarium pea gravel, gravel or river rock. Total Weight Needed: This varies based on indoor (like 8-10 lbs) or outdoor (? 20 lbs.). Some people use up a whole bag of play sand. For outdoor windy days, you can use more than one bag on a stand.

Where to Buy Filling:

HARDWARE STORE: Play sand, pea gravel, granite, river rock

GROCERY STORE: Kitty litter (the cheap kind), beans, lentils, rice zip-loc bags :-)

DEPARTMENT STORE: Play Sand, aquarium pea gravel

PET STORE: Aquarium pea gravel

BEACH: free sand

To fill, measure your filling into quart zip-lock bags then pour into the opening. This will help you a) avoid the mess of trying to scoop directly into the opening b) help you balance both sides with equal quantities. Note: Some users even just put the whole ziploc inside. This sounds useful if you want to occasionally adjust the weight by removing or adding a bag.

Variations: Some people just slip a 500ml water bottle into each side pocket. That sounds like a great on-the-go or ad-hoc idea. Other possibilities: Two cans of food. Weightlifting weights.
