Donkey-hide gelatin (ejiao) is a type of glue made by decocting a donkey's hide and some medicinal Chinese herbs in water, and then concentrating the liquid.

It is one of the three TCM treasures alongside ginseng and pilose antler.


Ejiao cake is made with of course ejiao, black sesame, walnut, wolfberry and red dates.

It has excellent health benefits and is also known to enhance skin health, enriching blood and nourishing Yin.
