Olbas was originally developed in Switzerland in the early part of the 20th century.

The name OLBAS is an acronym for Oleum Basileum, "Oil from Basle". Basle is nestled on the border of Switzerland, Germany and France in the very heart of Europe, and to this day is a centre of pharmaceutical research.

Olbas Oil was developed as a natural treatment for colds, flu and for muscular aches and pains.

Olbas Oil was introduced into the UK in 1938 and since 1971 has been manufactured and distributed by GR Lane Health Products Ltd, a family company established in 1930.

 

Olbas for Children (for infants and children from 3 months) is also available.

The unique blend of essential oils in Olbas Oil includes:

•Cajuput oil treats aches, pains and catarrh as well as coughs and sinus congestion
