All of these result in a vest that works equally well layering on frigid days or as a little extra warmth when a full jacket isn't necessary. Easily compressed to the size of your favorite water bottle, it provides the warmest warmth-to weight-ratio of any synthetic insulation vest on the market while retaining 96% of its warmth when wet.
