From two with a vision to five friends on a mission Guayaki started small on the California Central Coast in 1996. We set out to share yerba mate and pioneer a revolutionary business model to empower customers to drive tangible change with every purchase. Today as a growing team of cebadores we are serving up yerba mate culture and connecting with communities worldwide. Led by spirit Guayaki remains a privately held company to steward our vision and ensure our legacy.
Guayaki's vision holds that yerba mate culture will power our Market Driven Restoration model to regenerate ecosystems and create vibrant communities. Our 2020 mission is to steward and restore 200000 acres of South American Atlantic rainforest and create over 1000 living wage jobs.
This air-dried yerba mate is sustainably sourced from the rainforest in the San Mateo region of Southern Brazil. The unsmoked secondary drying process yields a bright lively and herbacious body with fresh grassy notes and a delicate crisp finish.
