According to the box they are also waterproof, and seem to be so. I walk 6-8 miles per day over open land and pavement with real comfort, great support and ankle protection. I have only had these a bit over a month but have worked them hard with zero issues. The lace lugs are very stout, the laces quite capably thick. Seams also appear to be quite sturdy. The tread is quite capable for differing terrains. THE BAD: They are sized a bit on the small side. Try on in the store wearing an appropriate, thick, boot sock. I typically wear a 9.5 EEE dress or cross training shoe. In these I wear a 10. This seems a minor issue, but having the wrong size shoe is a recipe for disaster. Try them on in the store with the sock you would normally wear to assure proper size/fit and you should be very happy. THE UGLY: An attractive boot, but I would have also bought a second pair in black if they offered them. THE VERDICT: Overall an awesome value. Was this review helpful?Yes (69)No (8)ReportWorth the money? Only time will tell1/11/2016Average rating:4out of5stars, based onreviews1/11/2016by YENSIDTLAWI've been buying Timberland Hikers for the past 3 years at about $100.00 a pair. I wear them strictly for work indoors approx. 8hrs per day. I would get about 10 months of use out of them before I needed new ones. Well I needed a new pair and while shopping in Walmart I saw a pair of hikers that looked very similar to the Timberlands that I normally buy at less than half the price. I saw that they were made by Ozark Trail and immediately thought these are junk. My wife talked me into trying them on. They were comfortable, There design looked like my $100 Timberlands from the padded collar to the leather uppers. Only time will tell if they stand up to the rigors of what I put them through. I've had them 1 month and I figure if I could get at least 4 more months out of them buying 2 pairs every 10 months would be less expensive than buying 1 pair of Timberlands. I'm hoping to get more than 5 months out of them but 5 would be the least in order for them to be worth the money. I will write another review in May-June.Was this review helpful?Yes (29)No (7)ReportRead all reviews
