The Infant Optics DXR-8 Video Monitor is the first baby monitor with interchangeable lens technology. Three separate lens types normal, wide angle (sold separately) and zoom allow you to choose the most suitable focal length and viewing angle for the specific environment, just like a professional camera system. Video is streamed in real-time to a compact 3-1/2 in. LCD color display providing a crystal clear image. The DXR-8 is packed with a roster of advanced features for added convenience including remote camera pan/tilt, infrared night vision, talk-back function, room temperature sensor and more. A product usage procedure note has been incorporated in units shipped since March 2015 that explains this new software update where you can toggle the beeping warning alerts. Wireless Portability: Don't assume all monitors have a portable power source. The DXR-8 lasts 10 hours in power-saving mode, 6 hours with the display screen constantly on. Charge Anywhere: The DXR-8 monitor unit can be charged from laptops or any USB outlets, making it simple to set up multiple charging stations at home. (spare cable included) Beeping Warnings Gone: Since March 2015, all units sold by Amazon.com are fitted with a new software where the 'beeping' warning alerts (out of range, low battery) can be toggled off under menu options. Temperature Monitoring: Remote in-room temperature display lets you know your baby is comfortable and safe. Sound Activated LEDs Mode: A row of LEDs allows you to see the sound of your baby’s voice alerting you if he/she is crying out when you have the volume turned down. Two-way Talk: Talk back to your baby via the intercom push-to-talk button. Screen Off, Audio On Mode: When in power saving mode, screen turns off whilst sound remains on. Battery consumption reduces by ~50%. It transforms the DXR-8 into an audio-only monitor.
