It stated that sometimes the color was activated in shipping and you need to use warm water to get it back to original, then the cold to color the eyes...doesn't work...we tried all levels of cold and warm waters and no results. Same with the fingernails. Box shows no shadow to bold color...we just have bold color, not able to make it go away. Fingernails are to go from bubblegum pink to bold red...no change at all. Tried the crimper and held longer than required. You can see a little imprint, but nothing like the box or commercial. The pink hair is much thinner than what they show on the sample, so it is hard to even get enough hair to cover the pattern on the crimper. My daughter enjoys styling the hair, but was disappointed that a product offered so many hopes and nothing works on it. We will most likely take it back or I might give her some of my makeup to use on it. You can barely tell the fingernails change color with hot and cold water and the eyeshadow doesn't completely go away. That being said, my 3 year old LOVES this toy and loves all of the hair accessories that come with it.
