M80 is a dynamic microphone, but it is a very excellent microphone that combines performance comparable to condenser microphones.
It boasts unidirectional, wide dynamic range and frequency characteristics.
Body rubber lamination suppresses handling noise, diaphragm sound is open, wide, you can expect a presence with presence without being buried even in the mix.
The greatest feature of the M80 is the newly designed Roman voice coil and ultra thin Mylar diaphragm and the custom output transformer made by AMI / TAB-Funkenwerk.
This newly designed diaphragm can convert to electric signals with high efficiency without changing the "tone" which was lost by the "heavy" diaphragm and the voice coil so far, and the output produced by AMI / TAB-Funkenwerk
The transformer produces a sound with presence with its unique warmth of good old analog audio.
The proximity effect of the low range is also moderately controlled, and it has become a very excellent microphone for recording not only vocals, but also drums and basses as well.
