You get what you pay for. It isn't perfect, but it isn't junk. I bought this for my niece for x.mas , she is 3 1/2 and she loved it. Sometimes the nails and eye shadow work with the water and sometimes it doesn't. The hair had a glue like substance on the top of the head , which was really my big disappointment. She likes to comb hair more than anything. So she was unable to comb from top of head to bottom, but I spent an hour combing it out so she could play with it. The hair clips are hard to open for a child, but real child hair clips work just fine. Yes, the pink strand is junk and doesn't crimp, but come on, these are kids they have imaginations and can make it work and it 2 months, high quality or not they will find something else new and shiny to play with.
