Wine Spectator 91 Points
Silver Medal - 2012 International Wine Challenge

40% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, 25% Pinot Meunier
A medium-weight style, with an elegant mousse and a crisp structure. Mineral, lemon and apple notes interplay, and the mineral theme echoes on the finish. Subtle but persistent.

WINERY INFORMATION

Established by Théodore Van der Veken in 1757, Henri Abele was one of the early pioneers in producing and distributing Champagne. Championing innovation, it invented and perfected the riddling rack, consequently improving the Methode Champenoise. Additionally, it was the first to disgorge by freezing the neck of the bottle, a method still in practice today!

Today, Henri Abelé is owned by Freixenet of Cava fame. It remains at the forefront, making stunning and understated wines from the best crus in Champagne.
