Amplifier is NOT always necessary. Connect it with your antenna if you are in areas with weak signals(long distance to the signal tower). Amplifier may not be needed in areas with strong signals(short distance to the signal tower), undesired signals can also be amplified.

Please re-scan for channels every time you change the position of your antenna.

Signals reception quality depends on the distance from the signal tower to your house. Surrounding environment also affect signals strength.

2. Placing your antenna facing the direction of the signal tower.

3. Placing your antenna close to or on a window.
