Directions
Cookie Icing Recipe Enough for 1 Dozen Cookies 3 cups powdered sugar ¼ tsp vanilla extract 4 Tbsp milk (add more milk as desired) 1 color packet
Mix ingredients together until smooth
Take ¼ cup mixed icing and place in small bowl
Add ½ - 1 packet of color
Blend until all the color has dissolved
Drizzle on cookies, or use icing bottle Frosting Recipe Makes 1 Cup 4 Tbsp unsalted butter (room temp) 2 cups powdered sugar 2 Tbsp milk ½ tsp vanilla extract 1 part glycerin to 1 part color
In a small bowl, beat butter, sugar, milk and vanilla until light and fluffy
Mix 1 part color (¼ - 1 color packet) to equal part glycerin*
Gently blend liquid color into frosting *oil-based recipes require pre-mixing colors with glycerin icing and frosting will last for several weeks refrigerated Coloring produces best results with icing and glazes.
