This basic concept is based on Dick Kelty's "invention" more than 50 years ago.
The KELTY brand began with debt of 500 dollars at home in Dick Kelti in Southern California in 1952.
Kelty was a garage, fighting with an aluminum frame with a welding machine in hand, his wife, Nina, continued sewing in the kitchen.
Kelty, herself an enthusiastic outdoor man, did not compromise on products that he could not convince and made day to day making improvements.
However, a turning point came soon.
The eyes of young people across the country were attracted to the unprecedented mono, aluminum frame + divided nylon compartment in the catalog.
A new culture called backpacker was born from here, and it became status to carry the logo of KELTY.
Their completeness and high functionality are beginning to attract attention of professional climbers, F. Unsoeld of 1963 and F. Hornbein first climb to Everest, 1966 National Geographic in Antarctic Expedition, 1975 K2
, First climb to Cholatse in 1982, and the seven continents highest expedition in 1983 ... much of the historical feat of the United States has been achieved with KELTY.
