Customers' Reviews

My kids love this and I catch them trying to drink it and brush their teeth all the time!
~ Ruby Mare

We had been using Tom's Silly Strawberry for the past two years, and while my child doesn't mind brushing his teeth,
he will now stop doing something and eagerly run to the bathroom to brush his teeth with this Babyganics Watermelon toothpaste.
He loves it, and pretty much would drink it if I let him.

The toothpaste is dye free, and the consistency is a bit thinner than typical toothpaste
but will stay on the tooth brush if not tipped a lot.
The smell if very pleasant, not at all a fake chemical smell of watermelon.

We use several Babyganics products and I am proud to add this to the line up.

I was literally having to wrestle my 2 1/2 year old down and put him in a modified head lock.
Then I opened this tube of toothpaste and put it on his toothbrush.
He stopped squirming and said, "Strawberry! Yummy!" and instantly started cooperating.
Now I just have to say, "Okay, it's time to brush our teeth with yummy strawberry!" and he fully cooperates.
He still even comments on the flavor.
Thank you, Babyganics.
Now we only engage in 998 toddler power struggles a day as opposed to 1,000. I'm calling it a win! ;)

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: When should I start brushing my baby’s teeth?

A: When that first tooth pops up, it’s go time!
Make sure to use a soft brush with a small head and a long handle for your baby’s comfort.

Q: Why should I use a fluoride free toothpaste?

A: Fact is, young kids have less control over their swallow reflex
so it’s really much safer to use a fluoride-free toothpaste since fluoride ingested in large quantities has been shown to have negative side effects.
But as usual, ask your pediatrician and talk about if and when your child should start using a fluoridated toothpaste.

Q: Will my baby’s teeth be protected without fluoride?

A: Yes, regular twice daily brushing with a small, soft brush will remove plaque
and help to protect your baby’s teeth against tooth decay.

Did you know?

It is best to start brushing with baby’s first tooth!

In fact, it is recommend that brushing teeth happens at least twice a day and that children have their first visit to the dentist at age of one.

But because children under two aren’t so good at gargling and spitting, be sure to use a fluoride-free toothpaste

so you can remove plaque and gently clean your baby’s teeth (without introducing the risk of swallowing fluoride).
