Local Singapore Stock INFORMATION & BENEFITSCalcium Citrate 300 mg with 200 IUs of vitamin D is easier to absorb than other forms of calcium. It is estimated that 40% of post-menopausal women have significant stomach acid deficiencies and most of them do not know it. Stomach acid is a factor in optimal calcium absorption and the citrate form of calcium is able to compensate for diminished stomach acid. Generally speaking, people with a stomach acid deficiency absorb approximately 45% of the citrate form of calcium, compared to approximately 4% absorption of calcium carbonate. Adding vitamin D enhances the absorption process even more.EACH TABLET CONTAINS

CAUTIONS
The use of calcium without also supplementing magnesium may be a risk factor for developing magnesium depletion. Since magnesium is a central mineral in many metabolic enzymes, an incremental decline in available magnesium could present serious problems, not the least of which is cardiac problems. •Supplementing with calcium in some people may increase the risk of forming calcium kidney stones. Co-use of at least half as much magnesium lowers the risk of kidney stones. •In older osteoporotic patients with compromised fat absorption, the optimal daily intake of fat soluble vitamin D should be clinically determined to insure absorption of dietary calcium, renal re-absorption of calcium, and vitamin D-dependent bone incorporation of calcium.Made in Canada
