Description

Originally designed in 1963 for the annual Furniture Guild Exhibition in Copenhagen,

Shell Chair was loved by critics but the general public was reluctant to accept its bold and different design.

When Carl Hansen & Son re_introduced the chair in 1998, it immediately won several design awards
as well as broad public appeal.

It features a minimalistic yet generous form supported by a broad wing-shaped seat and

despite having only three curved legs, it stands firm.

Made of form-pressed veneer, the seat and back are available upholstered in fabric or leather.
