They fit below the waist but not below my middle-age tummy (shows my navel but not lower). Size runs Large. I bought my regular size online and reordered one size down. I have a 'pear shape' with full thighs, so the smaller size fit is smooth, not tight. I think the model in the picture is wearing the pants 2 sizes smaller than her regular size. I have washed and dried them a few times and they have retained their color and fit.
