For me, this lotion had an unpleasant smell (like rotting apples) and the lotion is also really thick (the first day, I could not even get it out of the pump - I had to unscrew the bottle and use the straw to get some of the lotion out and like another reviewer said, it was like a spread for crackers! however, it has since become a bit more lotion-like and does come through the pump) and leaves a white cast on my skin. I mainly bought this to use as an occasional sunscreen rather than a daily lotion, and fortunately, it does work very well for a sunscreen if I apply no makeup over it (I worked in the yard all day today and my skin didn't burn). However, on another day, I applied this lotion under makeup and I felt like the makeup was sliding down my face... It's unpleasant, but it goes away quickly. My main issue with this product is that it is JUST sunscreen. There is no moisturizing content to it at all, so claims of reducing appearance of fine lines and aging are only due to its SPF qualities, *not* in its moisturizing abilities. Putting it on my skin felt just like putting regular, thick, standard sunscreen. It felt thick, pasty, it was not a smooth application, and more than once I went to work and co-workers pointed out a spot that I had not rubbed in all the way. (And yes, to reply to another review, I used it sparingly, as I have very oily skin in the summertime and I wanted to be careful with risking any greasy feeling.) It left my skin feeling gummy all day long and I looked forward to washing it off at the end of the day. I almost started to wonder if I had grabbed a sample that had been on the shelf in the store too long. It just felt like bad product.The pump mechanism left a lot of inaccessible product at the bottom of the bottle, and because the bottle is glass and the product is so thick, there was a lot of wastage. (Yes, I used the whole product even though I didn't like it. For the price, I was not going to waste it.) I appreciated the higher SPF, as most daily moisturizers are only rated at 15 or 20. I work mostly outdoors for the summer and I didn't want to have to double up on product.
