I needed a large display. My clock sits on a dresser on the opposite wall of my bed, and my eyes have gotten worse; When I’m Sixty-Four by the Beatles. Can see this one good, it is BIG. It has a nice rubber bottom on the feet; it doesn’t slide around. Sound is good; glad I didn’t get one of the cheapest. Digital feature is nice. Go to the station, i.e., 88.3, and there it is for you, tuned in as good as possible without turning knobs like the old days. You should be able to figure out the settings, but today's digital world is different. The older you are, the tricker it will be. If something doesn't work, it's probably set incorrectly. The MP3 line in is great and the unit sounds pretty darn good for playing the music in your smartphone. This is a good unit, I’d definitely recommend this clock/radio/MP3 player: good sound, large display, well made, good quality for the price- you get what you pay for. I live in the mountains about 40 miles southwest of Denver, and have difficulty getting good reception of Denver stations. FEATURES SETUP: If you've set up any electronic device before, you won't have any problems; I didn't consult the directions to set the time, but had to do so for the radio presets and for the sleep time settings. Even if you've never set up a small electronic device, the instructions are still pretty clear. BRIGHTNESS: When I visit the bathroom in the middle of the night, the display is not blinding at all, and I didn't even dim it.
