Since various aberrations are corrected well and the image plane is excellent in flatness, a sharp image with good contrast is formed even with an open aperture.
Coating of the lens surface makes it possible to obtain an image with less ghost and flare and a high contrast.
The color tone in color photography also shows excellent color reproduction as with other Nikkor lenses.
