The powermonkey expedition is a revolution in portable chargingtechnology, bringing together multiple ways in which to naturally,yet efficiently generate power - all housed in strong, aluminium,waterproof casing.

• A 10,500mAh lithium polymer battery which can be charged inthree ways; via hand-powered crank, solar or via the internationalAC mains charger.  
• Strong, ergonomic hand crank allows you to generate power at acomfortable speed thanks to the 32:1 gearing ratio.  The unitfeatures an LED that indicates the optimum speed for hank crankcharging - when the LED is green, the hank crank is producingenergy at an optimum, efficient level.  The anodised,aluminium casing is ridged, providing a secure grip even if yourhands are cold/wet or you're wearing gloves.  10 minutes ofhank crank charges the internal battery by 1% - equivalent to a6.7% charge of an iPhone 5s.  Once the battery is charged, thehand crank folds away neatly  or can even be removedcompletely if required.
• A solar panel housed in a very strong, lightweight, aluminium casewhich has been specifically developed to work with the powermonkeyexpedition.  The solarmonkey expedition outputs 5 watts, 5V1Amp and is capable of recharging the powermonkey battery unit in12-15 hours in optimum conditions, perfect if you're in the desert,up a mountain or simply on the move.  The aluminium acts as aheat-sync, making the panel both efficient and hard-wearing and itcan charge devices even in low light conditions thanks to the MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracker) technology included.  
• Waterproof (IP65 rated) meaning that it can withstand waterprojected from a nozzle against the unit from any direction and isalso dust-tight - perfect for when you're off the beaten track. It can open to a 225 degree angle, enabling it to fitperfectly around a back pack, across bike panniers or along theroof of a tent so you can charge, whatever you're doing.
• Supplied with an international AC mains charger that will work inover 150 countries  around the world.  The internalbattery can be fully charged via AC mains in just 12 hours so youcan be sure that you have power before you head off into theunknown.  The international AC mains charger is a majorbenefit in remote areas where electricity may be limited orunpredictable.
• Capable of charging everything from iPads/tablets, two-way radios,satellite phones and smartphones, to GPS, head lamps and SLRcameras, plus a plethora of other devices.  Users can alsocharge from both outputs simultaneously while charging the internalbattery, giving you the freedom to keep working.
• Both input and output cables are connected via aunique IP67-rated housing system, ensuring all connectionsremain waterproof, for up to 1 metre for 30 minutes.
