How Safe?
SIDS prevention is of paramount importance to us at Milliard, therefore we designed our Milliard Crib Topper to be soft but supportive enough that your child cannot sink into it. Our crib topper has a soft-medium feel and has a ILD rating measuring 11 with a density of 3 lbs. What's more, to increase the support of the infant/toddler mattress, we added a waterproof hypoallergenic 65% cotton and 35% polyester cover which adds a layer of stiffness. This further ensures that your child will not leak through to the topper and to assure you the proper night sleep knowing your child is in good hands.
Upon Arrival
Your topper will arrive rolled up and vacuum sealed in a relatively small box. Unroll and lay completely flat. Please allow up to 48 hours for it to fully decompress.
Our Crib Mattress Topper is certified free of toxins and harmful chemicals. Nonetheless, your mattress may have an odor upon arrival. Although the foam's smell doesn't necessarily trigger allergies, it can annoy those with a hyper-sensitive sense of smell. Have no fear, the smell will dissipate within a few days to a few weeks. To speed up the process, you can air out the room turn on a fan and wash the sheets after a few days of use.
Perfect Fit
Please note that your mattress topper is intentionally manufactured a bit smaller than a standard mattress size for maximum functionality.For custom size cribs, the topper can be cut to size carefully using a sharp blade.
