These durable, reusable silicone discs make *regular mouth* (2 3/8" internal diameter) Ball plastic storage caps, Mason Jar Lifestyle stainless steel storage lids, and some other lids both leak proof and food safe! They also work great as a flat lid, with just a metal band / ring. Not for canning.
Made of thick platinum cured silicone rubber, these lid inserts are dishwasher (we use the silverware area), freezer, and microwave safe! Silicone is a safe, green, non-plastic (BPA Free) material for food use that does not leach any chemicals. Platinum cured silicone is more expensive and higher quality than regular food grade silicone.
These liners work perfectly with metal bands, Ball plastic storage lids, or Mason Jar Lifestyle stainless steel storage lids. Because silicone is a flexible material, they fit some other lids too (but not perfectly). If they seem a little too big for your lid, you can trim them with a scissors.
