Fantastic for imaginative play. Kids are then encouraged to keep building with an extra bag for their own creations. The cars are quite chunky compared to say City sets, so I would only buy this for a 4 or 5 year-old. (Or myself, evidently.) Very easy builds and a wonderful selection of coloured sloped pieces, great for a new LEGO collection. There are even alternative models pictured, 3 of which have building instructions online. This is where it falls down; these extra PDFs are incredibly hard to find. Rather than a url pointing straight to them, you have to search and search. If you're wondering, here is the crazy process I had to figure out: From the creative.lego.com home page click Products in the top menu, collapse the left-hand menu, choose Themed Sets and click 4635, then choose Building Instructions and download each model separately! Nuts, and so I had to deduct a star from my score here.
